Pakuranga United Prems qualify for top 8

Mafia Lagaaia scored three tries for the Premiers on Saturday.

Pakuranga United Rugby Club’s Prems found some rhythm to completely dominate a strong but undisciplined Otahuhu squad 77-7 on Saturday.

It also secures the Prems a spot in the top 8.

PURC director of rugby Pita Alatini said the opening 40 minutes was difficult despite the Pakuranga Prems dotting down five times. “They’re hard games to play when the opposition has no structure,” he said.

“In the second half we  attacked a bit more especially in our backs.”

The Prems have two tough matches ahead – the Rifles at home on Saturday and then Waitemata the following weekend.
