A free community event for children and families to celebrate the meaning of Easter and its relevance today will be held at the East City Wesleyan Church Centre at 219 Burswood Drive, off Ti Rakau Drive, on March 27 from 2pm-4pm.
There will be plenty of entertainment including food, a live puppet show, bouncy castle, crafts and lots of prizes. All are welcome.
Rev Lauren Millington, children and families pastor, says that after the disappointment of last year’s lockdown at Easter, they are thrilled to be able to be together to celebrate as a community this year.
“Our Eggstravaganza has crafts and activities for children of all ages to come join the family fun. We’re really looking forward to the great community atmosphere at this event and seeing the kids have so much fun.”
Rev Dr Richard Waugh says, “The weekend before Easter is always a convenient time to come along to the Easter Eggstravaganza event which is all about creative children and family activities related to Easter and its unique meaning. Everyone is welcome to this free event.”
