Emergency services responded when a vehicle rolled off an east Auckland cliff on Sunday afternoon.
Photos posted to social media show about six police officers speaking to someone on the beach below Musick Point in Bucklands Beach with the police’s boat on the shoreline.
Another photo, taken from the cliff top, shows a vehicle lying on its side in the water below.
Police issued a statement on Sunday night stating they’d been notified of a vehicle that had gone off a cliff near Musick Point Road at about 5.30pm.
A police spokesperson said two people had been located on the beach and did not appear to be injured.
The pair were taken to be assessed by ambulance staff.
St John Ambulance told news media it was alerted to the incident just before 5.30pm on Sunday and took one patient to Middlemore Hospital with moderate injuries.
