The Son Skate Titles competition begins tomorrow at the Sonsk8 Indoor Skatepark in Glen Innes.
It is an all-wheeled sports competition weekend to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Sonsk8 independently being run by East Skate Club – founded by local man Aaron Martin – and the action sports community.
“The Sonsk8 Titles will present and celebrate the best of the best of New Zealand participants in BMX, rollerskating, rollerblading, skateboarding, and scootering across a variety of ages and competition formats over one epic weekend of competition,” said Martin.
“The Sonsk8 Titles is the only inclusive all sports event outside of the larger X Air televised event with this one being held at the grass roots level in New Zealand’s only indoor skating facility.”
The event is tree for spectators and there is a small entry fee for riders which all goes into the prize money pool.
