Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 12-year-old Auckland girl Maria Mino, who has been reported missing.
Maria was last seen at her home on Maugham Drive in Bucklands Beach on August 11.
Police say they believe Maria is most likely with her older boyfriend in the West Auckland, or Auckland CBD areas.
Maria’s family and police have concerns for her welfare and ask anyone who sees Maria to contact police as soon as possible on 111.
Additionally, anyone who has further information on her whereabouts should contact police on 105, quoting file number 230812/5064.
Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
UPDATE:
Police issued an update on the situation on Thursday afternoon.
A police spokesperson said the missing girl has made contact with her family.
“While we do not have immediate concerns for her safety, we are still concerned she is in the company of persons much older than herself.
“We would still like to speak with her.
“Anyone who has further information on her whereabouts should contact police on 105, quoting file number: 230812/5064.”
