Jared Morello, 26, of Half Moon Bay, will perform live in comedy-cabaret Sirens of the Silver Screen by New Zealand’s premiere drag trio Les Femmes.
They will be playing at Q Theatre from February 22-24 with a live band as part of Summer at Q.
Morello has always wanted to be an actor.
From the age of two he had a passion for storytelling, character, costume, and being louder than everyone else in the room.
It wasn’t until his late teens that his love of music collided with his desire to perform.
This led him to study at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA) in Christchurch.
After graduating, Morello performed in large scale musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar at the Court Theatre, Mary Poppins at Auckland’s Civic Theatre, as well as the New Zealand tour of Jersey Boys.
He currently tours with the drag cabaret group Les Femmes @lesfemmesnz as Miss Demeanour, while working for Air NZ as a flight attendant.
