A team of 21 students from Pakuranga College competed strongly in the Auckland Regional Secondary Schools Dragon Boat championships on the weekend.
Schools from across Auckland competed for the win at the event held at Lake Pupuke.
The Pakuranga College team started the day with a win in the first 500m heat and second place in the next heat before progressing to the 500m Grand Final where they managed a come-from-behind win.
They also competed strongly in the 200m Grand Final but did not win.
