Botany Downs Secondary College is a co-educational State Secondary College with over 1,850 students in Years 9 to 13. We are a whanau-based community with a modern learning environment.
We seek a qualified Counsellor for a permanent position, 42 weeks per year (term time 40 weeks plus two weeks during term breaks) to start on Monday 14 October or earlier by negotiation.
The successful candidate will preferably have full registration with NZAC or NZCCA and have experience working in a secondary school.
The successful applicant must have the ability to build empathy and advocate for our students, be culturally responsive, build trusting relationships with both students and staff, work effectively with our collaborative Student Services Support Team and external agencies to maximise wellbeing provision for our students. Both teacher registered and non-teacher qualified applicants will be considered.
