Job title: Maintenance Assistant
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Contract: 35 hours/week, early start time/leave time preferred. Flexible hours to accommodate for any work required at the weekends or for events etc.
Salary: up to $52,000/year, commensurate with experience.

Purpose of the role:
The Maintenance Assistant is a hands-on role: you will be responsible for general maintenance at Howick Historical Village, which has one of the most extensive collections of early settler history buildings in NZ, including raupō whare, schools, cottages, church, forge, and general store.
This is a varied role that may see you working with our heritage buildings one day and assisting in our gardens the next. You will be responsible for everyday repairs and managing external contractors in conjunction with the Facilities Manager.
Required:
You must be eligible to work in New Zealand for this role. If your application moves to the second-round, you must complete an Application Form. If successful, you must pass a police background check prior to commencement.
