The UXBRIDGE Theatre offers a high quality and varied programme showcasing music, dance, comedy and theatre from emerging performers to globe trotting bands and headlining acts. There is also a vibrant mix of outdoor, community and performance events.
The adjoining MALCOLM SMITH GALLERY is a contemporary arts space reflecting the cultural diversity of East Auckland with work by national and international artists who have a link with East Auckland and work by emerging local artists.
A programme of over 120 one-day workshops runs each year and there are over a 100 classes each term in languages, fine arts, applied arts, lifestyle, dance and bodyworks for both adults and children. There are 3 dedicated art studios
The licensed café is open during the daytime when the centre is open and evenings when there is an event or performance. The café is operated by UXBRIDGE and provides an offsite catering and bar service as well special events and culinary evenings.
The venue, including the theatre, is available for hire.
