Police say they’re making enquiries following the death of an infant in east Auckland last night, November 14.
Officers were called to a property in Ninth View Avenue in Beachlands at about 10.22pm.
“At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained and police are investigating on behalf of the coroner,” a police spokesperson says.
“Further information will be provided when we are in a position to do so.”
A spokesperson for St John Ambulance says as the incident occurred at a private address they’re unable to provide information on it.
