  • Q&A WITH MANDEEP KAUR OF FOUR SQUARE COCKLE BAY (Times, January 25):

Loved reading this article and thank you for sharing your story! We love popping in and grabbing an ice cream on the way to the beach, or a loaf of bread to eat with our fish and chips from next door. We can never walk out without grabbing a few bags of lollies either. Thank you for supporting our community.

Jan Botherway

They are very generous with helping out the community, especially filling the pantry in Whitford Road.

  • OPINION – PUSH FOR TIKANGA MAORI UNDERMINES CHOICE AT UNIVERSITY (Times, January 26):

Donna Leckie

Fantastic. It’s a start anyway. Everyone needs better education about Te Tiriti and things that happened after it was signed. Tikanga is very important, especially in areas like medicine.

Dave Neilson

Like how to record whale sounds to cure kauri tree illness. Get a grip on at least a modicum of sanity.

Alan Galley

Well apart from being racist it’s just another nail in the coffin of what was a highly respected university. Now a breeding ground for the far left who are grooming our kids in their Marxist ideology.

Karina Glover

Learning the Treaty is not an essential and it should not be forced upon people.

Lindi Marrett

No, they shouldn’t have compulsory courses at university. Choice.
