A two-vehicle crash on the route from the Pohutukawa Coast to Whitford delayed today’s usually busy westward-bound peak morning commute.
Counties Manukau East Police say officers attended the incident scene on Whitford-Maraetai Road and closed it between the intersections of Clifton and Henson Roads.
Police say they “came across the crash at 7.07am”, near the intersection of Whitford-Maraetai and Clifton Roads.
One person sustained moderate injuries from the collision, say police.
The road was briefly blocked, police say, with officers diverting traffic along Henson and Clifton Roads and back onto Whitford-Maraetai Road.
Police say the crash scene was cleared by about 8.15am.
