A cyclist suffered serious injuries after falling from their bicycle on an east Auckland road.
Police and Hato Hone St John paramedics responded to the incident, which happened on Chapel Road outside Botany Downs Secondary College on February 27.
It was reported to emergency services at about 6.50pm.
“A cyclist had fallen from their bicycle, suffering serious injuries,” a police spokesperson says.
“The cyclist was transported to hospital by ambulance.
“There was some traffic disruption at the time impacting traffic heading towards the Ti Rakau Drive intersection.”
A spokesperson for Hato Hone St John says: “One ambulance responded and transported one patient, in a serious condition, to Middlemore Hospital.”
