People are invited to attend a public talk in east Auckland on the Thai cave rescue that captured the world’s attention in 2018.
The high-profile incident involved the young members of a football team and their adult coach who became trapped in a cave system in northern Thailand when it became partially flooded due to heavy rain.
The talk will be delivered by professor Simon Mitchell, the head of the anaesthesiology department in the University of Auckland’s school of medicine and a consultant anaesthesiologist and diving and hyperbaric physician.
It’s being hosted by U3A Howick at Howick Bowling Club in Selwyn Road at 9.30am on Monday, March 10. Are all welcome.
U3A focuses on ongoing learning for people aged 55 and over and retirees and semi-retirees.
