A man is facing numerous charges, including assaulting police, following a serious car crash in east Auckland.
Police say one person was taken into custody after the crash, which happened in Cockle Bay on March 16.
“At about 4.39am, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Selwyn Road.
“One driver has left the scene and following a number of enquiries police have located them at a nearby address.
“The alleged offender has become aggressive towards an officer and the officer sustained a minor injury.”
A 27-year-old man will reappear in the Manukau District Court on March 21 charged with resisting police, assaulting police, failing to stop, dangerous driving, possession of cannabis utensils and refusing a blood test.
