Sports Co-ordinator

Macleans College is seeking a passionate and organized Sports Co-ordinator to play a key role in promoting and delivering a high-quality sports program that enhances student participation and well-being.
This role works closely with the Sports Director and the position will include the following tasks:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the sports program, including scheduling, team selection, and event organization
- Develop and implement engaging and inclusive sports activities for students of all skill levels
- Work closely with coaches, staff, and parents to ensure a positive and safe sporting environment
- Manage sports resources including:sports equipment, uniforms, inventory, and facilities
- Promote sports programs and events within the school/community
- Assist with fundraising and sponsorship activities
- Provide administrative support for the sports department, including collecting, collating and recording all results
- Coaching and training a team
- Liaising with coaches and managers to co-ordinate training programmes
The successful applicant will have the following skills:
- Proven experience in sports administration or coaching
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with coaches, managers, parents, and teenagers.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent computer proficiency, along with strong administrative, planning and organisational skills
- A “can do” attitude with a passion for sports and commitment to youth development
- Knowledge of relevant sports regulations and safety protocols.
You must be eligible to work in NZ to apply for this position. The appointment is subject to a Police Vetting.
This is a permanent position, 40 hours a week, 52 weeks, commencing on 28 April 2025. (or by arrangement)
