Our special PERi-PERi sauce is made with the perfect combination of Nando’s African Bird’s Eye Chillies, lemon, garlic, onion and herbs for that authentic flavour.
Our chilli doesn’t grow just anywhere
We’re proud of our Southern African heritage, which is why we grow our own unique type of African Bird’s Eye Chillies on farms across Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe and South Africa. These special chillies grow with their tips pointing towards the sun. Each year, farmers handpick over 1 billion chillies to provide Nando’s with the very best produce for our PERi-PERi sauce.
Flavour takes time
To ensure that PERi-PERi flavour you know and love, we only source local, free range chickens. Our chicken is marinated in our famous PERi-PERi sauce for 24 hours, giving it time to absorb all those rich, delicious flavours before it’s flame-grilled to perfection.
