Teachers are passionate about providing engaging and challenging programmes and teaching both subject knowledge and the dispositions and values to be successful in life.
Our values of pride in ourselves, respect for others and Care for the environment underpin our expectations about behaviour and learning and describe how life looks at Pakuranga Intermediate.
This year we have implemented our new learning vision, and we are excited about how this will help us create a great future for our students. We are proud to see how our learners achieve at school and become leaders and achievers at our local colleges.
We strive to develop independent and equipped learners to move into our ever-changing world. One of the ways we do this is through our commitment to developing a 1-1 programme of devices throughout the school. This is done through the school’s investment in Chromebooks and technology and implementing of a BYOD programme.
Intermediate schooling is a wonderful time in a child’s life, and we want children to graduate from Pakuranga Intermediate with great memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Children are actively involved in sports, camp, regular EOTC activities, leadership opportunities, music and cultural opportunities and the Excel programme. Alongside the classroom programme, these activities build memories, make learning real and kickstart interests that may become lifelong pursuits.
