Times Media is on the hunt for a dynamic, creative, and highly motivated people-person to take the reins of our newly launched publication, Rural Times (formerly Rural Living). This much-loved and well-respected publication has proudly served the Franklin community for over 15 years, boasting a loyal readership of 30,000 and a blend of rural home delivery and pickup hotspots across the region.
🌿 The Role
This part-time position offers flexible hours: 20 hours per week or two weeks per month at 40 hours, with publication hitting the shelves in the last week of each month. The role is home-based, and we’d love for our new editor/journalist to call Franklin home, too.

- Craft trusted, engaging local journalism covering all aspects of life in Franklin. 📝
- Juggle multiple tasks seamlessly, ensuring content is delivered across print, web, and social media platforms. 🌐
- Upload content to our website, manage operational programs, and oversee online readership growth. 📈
- Build connections with key stakeholders and community leaders. 🤝
