Operatunity tuning up for ‘Hoedown Showdown’ concerts

Popular performers Operatunity are returning to east Auckland as part of their latest Hoedown Showdown concert tour.

The show promises to be “brimming with tomfoolery, extravagant outfits and toe-tapping tunes that’ll have you dancing in the aisles”.

It features musicians Karl Perigo, Chet O’Connell, Grant Winterburn, Hank Trenton, Isaac Pawson and Marian Burns.

Operatunity was formed in 2001 and has grown to become New Zealand’s leading provider of daytime concert entertainment and national and international music travel.

Its ethos is, “We give happiness to seniors through music!”

The organisation performs more than 200 concerts each year throughout New Zealand from Whangarei to Invercargill.

Each show is filled with joy and delivered with Operatunity’s unique brand of good music and humour.

They’re staged in community churches, regional halls and theatres, making them accessible to seniors.

Operatunity performs its Hoedown Showdown concert at St Columba Presbyterian Church, 480 Ti Rakau Drive, Botany, from 11am-12.45pm on Tuesday, May 28.
