By-election packs were mailed out this week and voting began yesterday for the Howick Local Board, Botany subdivision by-election, encompassing Flat Bush, East Tamaki, East Tamaki Heights and Ormiston.
The by-election follows the resignation of local board member Lucy Schwaner.
Next Friday (February 3), the Times will host a candidate debate at Botany Library, giving those running in the by-election a chance to discuss the issues facing our community.
Everyone is welcome at the event, which will run from 6.30pm-7.30pm, and there will be a chance to ask questions of the candidates.
