Catch-up around the neighbourhood

Mike and Charmaine Cole, of Shelly Park, arranged a lovely event to get the neighbourhood together over a shared lunch recently.

The event took place at her beautiful home.

The layout was welcoming with a deep blue rug adding a splash of colour on the patio.

There were heaps of stools, sofas and pillows decorated with pohutukawas adding colours to the black couch.

The set-up was fantastic with a great setting outdoors that included cool furniture, yummy food and of course the friendly people!

There was a variety of different food like croissants, dumplings, sausage rolls, mince pies, and moon cakes.

It was all too delicious and mouth-watering. My brother and I ate quite a lot (shh!).

The people from neighbouring streets joined us, who were all very kind and lively.

Some of us met for the first time and learnt so much about each other.

The air was full of lively chatter with bubbles of excitement especially from the kids.

Everyone came along with their cheerful self and cheery stories.

The reason Charmaine hosts these events each year is to have fun and to get to know each other.
