Armed police respond to “family harm” incident

Armed police have this morning, November 14, descended on a house in east Auckland over what’s understood to be a domestic incident.

Video provided to the Times of the scene, near the intersection of Pakuranga Road and Glenmore Road in Pakuranga, shows multiple police vehicles at the property and about eight police officers.

An eyewitness said at least one police officer was carrying a firearm and several more police vehicles were on the roads nearby.

A police spokesperson says: “This was a family harm-related incident, no injuries and one person in custody.”
