The Blankets 4 Kids 4 Winter appeal being organised by Howick Rotary and supported by the Howick Village Association has now been going for a few weeks and is getting good support from the community.
Bill Charkow, Rotary Convenor of the project, and Jane Newbury, town centre manager for the Howick Village Association said, “We are very pleased with the public response so far.
“However, as the appeal this year is trying to reach out to more families in need this year with the inclusion of Our Lady of the Sea Catholic Church as a distributor, we encourage people who have yet to make a donation to do so soon as collection sites will be closing at the end of the month.”
