East Auckland’s Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) is running helpful free clinics on subjects including health and taxation.

Its free health coach clinic is for anyone who wants to transform their health but doesn’t know how.

“Become the best version of you and transform your health, wellness and happiness,” the CAB says.

“A health coach can offer personalized support and guidance, utilising theories of behaviour change to empower the client to set achievable goals, develop strategies for self-determination and self-efficacy, and navigate obstacles.”

The CAB’s free taxation advice clinic offers an advisor on all taxation or tax-related matters.

It’s a 15-minute guidance session to inform clients of next steps and is not a consultation.

The CAB also offers free general counselling for people needing emotional support.

The online (Zoom) and face-to-face counselling services helps people deal with life’s challenges including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationships, stress, sexuality and more.

Sessions are client-led and structured to individual needs.

Adults (16+) of all genders, cultures and abilities can book, but no couples counselling is available at the moment. A +65 counsellor is available.

To book or enquire of any of the above services phone 09 576 8331, call/text WhatsApp 028 438 2188, or email enquiries.pakuranga@cab.org.nz.
