Police were called at about 9.40 on Saturday to reports of a car crash involving two vehicles on Chapel Road,. There were no reported injuries.
According to eyewitnesses, the white car was hit by a green Hiace van which was later towed away by another vehicle.
A person commentated on the Times facebook page that the accident was not an isolated case; “I live on this road and see this regularly. If you travel another few metres down Whitford Road you will see another car with the same damage! People treat this road like a race track often texting, or on cell phones and it is pretty annoying.”
In an update, the Times has an unconfirmed eyewitness stating the driver of the van may have been texting at time of crash.
