
Emergency services were called to a chemical spill on Cryers Road, East Tamaki at 12:49 on 1 October.
According to a Fire and Emergency spokesperson, four fire appliances and one hazmat unit responded and were at the scene for five hours.
Fire crews worked alongside Police to ensure a safe cordon was in place. Fire crews also assisted with the treatment of one person who was decontaminated and then taken to hospital by ambulance.
