Stitch time! Warm-as charity at community house

Warm up this winter thanks to Highland Park Community House

Soup-er heroes don’t always wear capes. To help locals warm up during winter, Highland Park Community House has been rising to the occasion.

“We are offering free cups of homemade soup and clothing repairs,” house manager, Jennie McCormick, confirms.

“Perhaps a hole has appeared in a jacket, pair of socks or jumper, or you have buttons missing.

“If so, please pop into the community house and we will do our best to fix them for you.”

This offer extends to one item per person, laundered items for repair only – no alterations.

Warm up Winter is warming up locals from 5-7pm every Friday in August in the Monet Room at Highland Park Community House, 47 Aviemore Dr, Highland Park. Click here for details and conditions.
