UPDATED – Two people hospitalised following crash

The Times understands multiple vehicles have been involved in a crash in Pakuranga this morning, October 22.

About five vehicles are said to be involved and emergency services were at the scene of the incident on Pakuranga Road adjacent to Lloyd Elsmore Drive.

Several lanes on Pakuranga Road were said to be blocked.

A St John Ambulance spokesperson says: “Hato Hone St John was notified of this incident at 8.13am today on Pakuranga Road and Bells Road responding with two ambulances, one rapid response unit and an operations manager.

“Five patients were assessed at the scene. Three people were treated for minor injuries and two people were transported to Middlemore Hospital in a moderate condition.”   

A police spokesperson says they received a report of the crash at 8.41am.

“Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported, and ambulance services are assessing people at the scene. The road is now clear, and traffic is flowing freely.”
