It was a successful day at Howick Croquet Club [HCC] on Saturday, October 7, when members of the public came along to Have A Go at croquet.
HCC members were on hand to explain and demonstrate the pros and cons of golf croquet and when visitors made a hoop, they were delighted, if not surprised.
“There are some very promising croquet players out there,” HCC’s Veneta Hansen said.
“A sausage sizzle was enjoyed at noon, along with a well-earned sit down and chat, but then back out for more croquet.
“Thank you to all our visitors who came along and gave croquet a go.”
