Family day out at Community River Carnival

The Community River Carnival will be held at Bramley Drive Reserve in Farm Cove.

Bringing back a sense of normalcy to life after lockdown is the upcoming Community River Carnival to be held at Bramley Drive Reserve, near the Pakuranga Sailing Club, Farm Cove.

Hosted by the Pakuranga Rotary Club, the annual fundraising event that is all about a fun family-day-out has lots of activities planned for the entire family.

“After a difficult 2020 and the disappointment of another level 3 lockdown just as schools opened, everyone will be hoping that we are back in Level 1 and the annual Rotary

Community Carnival planned for Sunday, March 21 can go ahead,” says Allan Vester, president-elect of Pakuranga Rotary and former principal of Edgewater College.

“The Carnival gets considerable support from Auckland Council which enables Pakuranga Rotary to provide a day for children of bouncy castles, giant slides, face painting, a clown, a ferris wheel and Little Bo Peep mobile farm and pony rides. We have a gold coin donation for most attractions,” he says.

There will be lots of food at the Community River Carnival by the riverside with sausage sizzle, Indian food, candy floss, popcorn, cakes and biscuits, Mr Whippy, Coco Cola and coffee on offer.
