Howick College has done it again.

The east Auckland school has continued to improve its phenomenal sporting results in 2024, including a National Netball Secondary Schools title and a Rugby Girls First XV Auckland title.

Howick previously won the Girls Condor’s title in 2018, 2020 and has just done it again.

The same team also won the Auckland Secondary Schools Sevens tournament last month.

This time around, they’ve won the Girls’ National Condor Sevens title in Mount Maunganui on Sunday afternoon.

It was a tense encounter, going to golden point extra time after a 24-24 draw in normal time.

The game went back and forth, with Hamilton Girls leading at halftime, and up to the last moments of the game.

The Howick College team, coached by Waisake and Adelita Sotutu, led the girls through the tournament unbeaten, scoring 213 points in the process.

On day one, they beat St Mary’s College, St Hildas Collegiate, St Andrew’s College and Wellington East Girls’ College before making it through to the quarter-final stage on Sunday.

Howick then beat Fielding High School 17-14 in the cup quarter-final and St Mary’s College Wellington 26-10 in the semi-final, before the 29-24 victory in the final over Hamilton Girls High School.
