Auckland Cricket got back under way at the weekend marking an end to more than 100-days in lockdown for the Super City.

There are no two-day competitions this summer with Auckland Cricket announcing shorter format games instead for premier men in the form of the 50-over Jeff Crowe Cup (top eight) and Richard Jones Cup (bottom eight) and a T20 championship featuring all 16 clubs.

The six teams in the premier women’s competition will vie for the 50-overs Prichard Cup and the Pearl Dawson Trophy in the T20 championship.

Below are the club scores for Saturday’s matches:

Premier Men

Jeff Crowe Cup

North Shore 187 (M Olsen 70, S Keene 45, U Patel 3-39) lost to Eden Roskill 158/7 (O Chakraborty 95, J McKenzie 3-24) by three wickets (DLS method)

Cornwall 223 (J Hayes 42, G Worker 41, D Gallage 30, R Quinn 5-72) lost to Takapuna 199/3 (R O’Donnell 96*, Q Sunde 49*) by seven wickets (DLS method)

Auckland University 251/8 (A Prasad 81, J Low 60, H Lowe 50, J Brown 3-36, C Thompson 3-53) defeated Howick Pakuranga 199 (J McGregor 68, D Winn 35, J Todd 4-38) by 52 runs.

Parnell 285/9 (R Clinton 57*, O Pringle 49, A Parikh 49, F McGregor-Sumpter 40, J Parsons 35, R Harrison 3-41) defeated East Coast Bays 282/9 (C Briggs 109, T van Ingen-Kal 46*, R Harrison 34, D van Deventer 3-45) by three runs.

Richard Jones Cup

Grafton 114 (D Sharples 53*, A Ashok 4-17, S Cook 3-18) lost to Suburbs New Lynn 117/3 (S Solia 33, T Payle 30) by seven wickets.

Birkenhead 363/6 (P Nuwan 85, N Murlidharan 71, A Jayampathi 56*, C Rajapaksha 51, P Patel 40) defeated Papatoetoe 198 (R Gill 107, B Rowland 33, A Frew 3-50) by 164 runs.

Waitakere 182 (B Barnard 37, A Kaundal 33*, P Narsimhan 5-40) lost to Ellerslie 186/2 (P Narsimhan 86*, B Dench 60) by eight wickets.

Kumeu 243/8 (R Jenner 55, A Christian 54, L Vardy 35, J Patel 31*) lost to Hibiscus Coast 244/9 (R Lakmal 96, J Grobler 48, C Elliott 33, R Jenner 3-44) by one wicket.

Barfoot and Thompson Royal Oak Premier Women

Auckland University 440/2 (A Peterson 118, H Huddleston 113*, K Gurrey 92, P Catton 69*) defeated Papatoetoe 97 (T Mataora 40, A Eastwood 4-9) by 343 runs.

Takapuna 167 (A Browning 60, F Trussler 35, A Todd 3-33) defeated Cornwall 71 (L Heaps 4-13) by 96 runs.

Parnell 111 (Y Kareem 48) lost to Howick Pakuranga 113/1 (B Halliday 78*) by nine wickets.
