In reply, an opening stand of 114 between Cole Briggs (63) and Ryan Schierhout (47) took the game away from Howick Pakuranga. It came in quick time too before Ryan Harrison (51*) and Seb Langridge (51) together took Bays to within a dozen runs of the target.
