Ice Figure Skating Championships

The 2018 Auckland Ice Figure Skating Championships were held at Paradice Ice Skating, Botany over the weekend of Saturday July 21 and Sunday July 22.

It was a fabulous turn out from Auckland’s greatest ice figure skating competitors. The skaters ranged in age from 6 years to adults and included a number of solo skaters, dance couples and synchronised teams.

The talent and skill shown by all competitors was impressive. Some of the local winners and place getters from the Auckland Ice Figure Skating Club are as follows:
Marina  Chen  1st  Juvenile  Ladies  Under  12, Alex  Hamilton 3rd  Juvenile  Ladies  Under  12, Caitlin Rae 1st  Juvenile Ladies 12 years and over, Dwayne Li 1st Basic Novice Men, Stepan  Kadlick  2nd  Basic  Novice  Men, Neske  Groenewegen  3rd  Basic  Novice  Ladies,  Ann  Kyle  and  Blake  Barraclough  1st  Basic  Novice  Dance, Cordelia  Shi  1st  Intermediate  Novice  Ladies,  Yvonne  Li  3rd  Intermediate  Novice  Ladies, Emmanuel  Tsang  1st  Advanced  Novice  Ladies,  Harrison  Bain  1st Junior  Men,  Black  Ice  1st  Mixed  Age  Synchro,  Snow  Angels  1st  Elementary Synchro,  Ice  Angels  2nd  Basic  Novice  Synchro.

Paradice  Ice  Skating  Botany  will  also  host  the North Island Regionals on September 8 and 9 and  the New  Zealand  Nationals  from Saturday October 6 to Tuesday October  9.
