A 7.5km run has never sounded so good, with the promise of a cold beer readily available at the finish line.
Howick’s annual Point to Pub Run is back, ready to kick start the Santa parade on Sunday, December 3.
Originally started more than 30 years ago by a small running group, this iconic fun run takes you from Musick Point to the Prospect of Howick building on Picton Street.
Barry O’Shaughnessy who has organised the event for the past 25 years says he can’t wait to see how many people turn up this year.
“People of all ages and abilities get involved, and everybody has a fun morning running with friends, enjoying the view along the way and they are more than welcome to join us for a drink afterwards,” he says.
“I’d love to see more kids and families get involved this year.”
You can sign up for the race at the Good Home on the morning of December 3, entry is five dollars and spot prizes are up for grabs on the day.
Grab your sneakers and a few friends and join in the fun for Howick’s race of the year.
