Local woodcarver Daniel Strekier, known for his unique bike made entirely from wood, has carved a niche for himself as he scored first place in the National Woodskills Competition recently.
Daniel is thrilled to have won first place for the piece of art – a one-of- its kind bicycle called Grace – as well as first place for a wall clock made of walnut and oak. The craftsman also claimed a highly commended prize for a stool made from a pallet.
