A person has died following a two-car crash in East Tamaki last night.
Police and other emergency services attended a car crash on Te Irirangi Drive, in the northbound lane about 500m north of Accent Drive.
The crash was first reported at 10.59 pm.
One person was trapped and died a short time later despite staff commencing CPR.
Meanwhile this morning emergency services attended a serious crash in Pakuranga involving two cars.
Ti Rakau Drive was blocked in both directions following the incident at the intersection at Edgewater Rd, which was reported to police at 9.25am.
There were a number of injuries.
Traffic control and diversions are in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit will investigate both incidents.
