Naisi Chen Launches Labour Campaign for Botany

Labour Botany candidate Naisi Chen celebrated her campaign launch recently.

She was joined by Labour candidate for Takanini Dr Anae Neru Leavasa and Labour List candidate Lotu Fuli, as well as many Labour supporters at the Takanini event.

Speaking to a diverse audience of Kiwis, Chen focussed on unity. “I’m proud to be part of the Labour Party that is united behind the Prime Minister and our team of five million. After a decisive health response to the Covid-19 crisis, we’re delivering an economic recovery,” said Chen.

“Labour’s five-point plan to keep New Zealand moving will keep the recovery investing in our people, and creating new jobs by supporting small business, entrepreneurs and job creators.

“With crisis, comes opportunity, and we’re going to deliver better employment conditions for all New Zealanders.”

Chen spoke of her motivation to stand in Botany. “Since coming to New Zealand at the age of five, I understand the experience of all migrant New Zealanders and the important, ever-changing role we play in society. I want to represent my generation by joining the Labour Party team that will keep New Zealand moving.”
