I want to congratulate and thank the management of The Art Lounge in Picton Street [in Howick] for their generosity and thoughtfulness towards eight students from local schools whom they invited to participate in an art workshop Monday to Wednesday, July 18-20.
I watched the artists in action and they were very focused, ignoring the public moving around and looking over their shoulders. I visited later in the week to view the eight pieces on display. I was most impressed by their talent. It is wonderful when local organisations and businesses find a way to support locals in their endeavours.
I hope The Art Lounge’s generosity and foresight encourages others to support and promote local talent and endeavours.
