It was a community celebration on Friday as Riverina School opened their whanau room during their Mother’s Day Assembly.
The whanau room was a project Riverina were keen to develop as a dedicated room for the community to use. With the support of the new Rotary Club group, a working bee was organised to clean and prepare the old dental clinic. The room transformed from a cold unloved space to a social hub for school.
The Pakuranga Tamaki River Auxiliary is a brand new group of Rotarians attached to the Pakuranga Rotary Club, with the member ages ranging from 19 to 70.
The transformation of the old, run down Riverina Dental Clinic to a smart and functional Whanau Room was their very first major project. The Club members are very proud to be associated with the development of this very valuable and welcoming space for Mums and families to use and enjoy.
