Classy Crafts, Howick’s indoor market, is to close.
For almost 10 years, Classy Crafts has opened its doors on Saturdays at All Saints Community Hall in Cook Street.
Classy Crafts will be opening the doors for the last time this Saturday from 9am-1pm.
Initiator and convenor of Classy Crafts, Ruth Hammond, acknowledges the long-term support of Margaret Sexton who has used her considerable skills in marketing and promotion and assisted new stall holders with the presentation of their products. “I would like to thank Margaret, and our team of volunteers who had a vital part to play and were always there to support the smooth running of the market,” said Ruth.
“Additionally, I would like to say a big thankyou to the people of Howick and surrounds for their support. It has been an absolute joy to meet so many lovely people.”
There will be tears and many hugs exchanged between the Classy Crafters after 1pm when the market closes for the last time.
“Take the opportunity to purchase some last minute Christmas shopping and to pop in and say goodbye to your favourite stall holders and obtain their business cards,” said Ruth.
Desirable Christmas raffles will be drawn on the day.
