Hundreds attended the Beachlands Anzac Service and Civic Parade on April 25 to pay respects to the fallen soldiers of decades past.
The Dawn Service started at 6am on Sunday at the bottom end of Wakelin Road. More than 300 people were present.
At 8:30am the Civic Parade mustered at the Beachlands Club then marched to Beachlands Primary School.
At 9am the flag bearers and parade of people were led into Beachlands School Hall for the Civic Service.
The guest of honour was 101-year-old Esme Peters. She joined the Air Force to commemorate her fighter pilot brother who died in 1942.
She was the only surviving individual from World War II in attendance.
Meanwhile locals decorated their houses beautifully with poppies.
