A support staff member at Macleans College has tested positive for Covid 19 today (Sun Oct 31).
The staff member has not been in contact with any students according to a notice on the school’s website.
“All students will be taught remotely on Monday November 1 and Tuesday November 2 to allow any impacted staff time to get a Covid test,” the school said.
The notice said Year 11 students will return to school on Tuesday October 26.
“NCEA students will complete their practice examinations online from home from Tuesday October 26.
“Junior students will remain at home, learning remotely, until further notice.”
The school said more information will be provided as it becomes available.
“All visitors to the school must have a prior appointment.”
Regarding Covid vaccinations, the notice said, “The Prime Minister has encouraged us to be vaccinated.”
The school has also provided links to local clinics which have offered to vaccinate Macleans College students and their families.
The notice said NCEA Practice Exams will be held in Term 4.
