But I would be quite happy to surrender judgment of anti-vaxxers and climate deniers to God too, providing God allows me my opinion, which Mr Hayward does not.

SARS-CoV-2 will kill maybe 50 – 100 million, but manmade global warming is the beginning of the end of civilisation.

According to Kevin Anderson, a former director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, now Professor of Energy and Climate Change at Manchester, we need to go onto a war footing. The professor is no ivory tower academic, he was once an oil company engineer.

We’ll see how many young people believe in our precious democracy when Earth warms another degree or two.
