On December 10, our community will celebrate the 70th Howick Santa Parade.

What was once a simple parade has evolved into a spectacular community extravaganza that draws thousands of families from across east Auckland.

This year’s event promises to be the greatest yet, with a whopping 70 captivating floats.

These include floats from sports groups, marching teams, entertainers, charities, schools, daycares, cultural groups, businesses and, of course, the star of the show, Santa Claus, accompanied by his charming wife Mrs Claus and his loyal elves.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Immerse yourself in the festivities with 30 roaming entertainers, three live music stations, magic shows, and famous street appearances by Disney Characters.

Families are in for a treat with a wide range of activities including bouncy castles, vintage and Euro car shows, pony rides, hot rod displays, Batman and, for those wanting to try something new, our Give it a Go section.

The parade’s highlight will be the arrival of Santa Claus, joined by his beloved Mrs Claus and his merry band of elves.

Experience the cultural diversity of the community with captivating performances by local groups and the HIWI kapa haka group.

Treat your taste buds to an abundance of delights from local hospitality and a delicious range of food trucks/stalls on the day.

There will be thousands of lollies to give away and treats for last minute Christmas shopping from the markets.

This event is the best opportunity for our community to come together, to celebrate all our successes and areas of life.

The festivities kick off at 10am, ensuring a full day of fun and excitement for everyone.
