Local Lego lovers are in for a treat when an east Auckland school stages a fundraiser featuring the popular plastic bricks.

Botany Downs School stages its ‘Brick Show’ from 10am-3pm on Sunday, May 26, with proceeds going toward a new junior playground.

The school’s PTA promises it will deliver fun-filled excitement for bricks enthusiasts, book readers, and baking lovers of all ages.

The school hall will be transformed into a Brick Show, showcasing jaw-dropping creations made from Lego bricks, crafted by talented builders from All Blocks, the latest Lego user group in New Zealand.

Alongside the Brick Show, people who go along can dive into a world of literary delights with a pre-loved book sale, while also indulging their sweet tooth with delicious treats from a bake sale.

“Grab a mouth-watering sausage hot off the grill at our sausage sizzle and purchase your raffle tickets for a chance to win an array of prizes generously donated by our local community,” the school says.

“There is something for everyone to enjoy on this special day of community fun and fundraising for a new junior playground.”

The Brick Show is a cash-only event and tickets can be purchased on the day.

“Join us and indulge in the fun while supporting the school.”

Entry costs $5 per person or $20 for a family pass (up to six people), while children aged under three years old are free.

Botany Downs School is at 35 Mirrabooka Avenue.
