Here’s your chance to get up close and personal with Everyday Heroes.

Organised by Counties Manukau Police, along with Botany Town Centre, the event kicks off at 10am through to 2pm this Saturday on April 1 at Botany Town Centre. A range of interesting and exciting emergency services displays will be on show for the whole family to enjoy.

The Police, Fire Service and St John will be attending, along with other organisations, groups and volunteers that help keep the community safe.

The free event will include performances from schools, community groups, Police dog unit, along with Counties Manukau Detectives sharing their skills in crime scene examination. Fire trucks and ambulances will be at the event, along with the Armed Offenders Staff, Police Community and Neighbourhood Policing staff and many others.

Counties Manukau Police district commander superintendent John Tims says the day has proved to be a great success over the past three years, and Police always jump at the chance to interact with the community.

“Every year emergency services are called to thousands of incidents that affect the community so it’s definitely a relevant cause. The event allows us to take the mystery out of policing and show everyone first hand what it is that we do all year around to help keep the community safe. It is great that we can do this with other organisations who add so much value to our community.”

Entry is free for this family friendly event, so do not miss out.  The event will take place along Town Centre Drive and in the car park opposite ASB Bank at Botany Town Centre.
