AUCKLAND SCHOOLS’ TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME
Calling graduates and those considering a career change… Have you thought of becoming a secondary school teacher?
Howick College is part of an exciting initiative with a group of Auckland Schools, offering a new way to train to become a secondary school teacher. The programme includes a $12,500 scholarship, university fees paid and the opportunity to work part-time as you train.
The school-based teacher training programme works in partnership with the University of Waikato. You will spend one year completing coursework with the University of Waikato while working onsite at Howick College being mentored by experts in your subject area.
We are really interested in hearing from you if you want to train to teach Mathematics, Physical Education or Technology but will also consider applicants wishing to teach in other subject areas.
